North Wales Crusaders are delighted to announce a new two-year-deal for Sam Wilde, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2027 season.

Wilde’s arrival in North Wales turned heads during the off-season, with the 29-year-old former Warrington and Widnes second-rower one of many standout performers so far this season, aiding Carl Forster’s side’s rise to the top of Betfred League One.

Putting pen to paper on a two-year contract extension, Wilde shall now remain in North Wales until the conclusion of the 2027 season.

Commenting on his deal, Wilde said: “I’m buzzing to have signed a new two-year deal with Crusaders.

“I’m really enjoying my rugby this season, and we’re building something special both on and off the field.

“I’m really thankful to Foz [Carl Forster] and the club for being supportive of me and my work, and I hope that my performances this season and going forward repay the faith they’ve put in me.

“This is such an amazing group of players and staff to be apart of and I’m absolutely over the moon to be staying for another two years.”

North Wales head coach Carl Forster added: “It’s great to get Sam tied down.

“For me he’s one of if not the best players in the league and for us to have someone of Sam’s quality is a pleasure for me as a coach.

“He’s a top professional and an unbelievable team player.

“I’m looking forward to working with Sam beyond this year.”
