North Wales Crusaders shall open their 2025 pre-season with a trip across the border to face Betfred Championship opposition in the shape of Widnes Vikings.
The Vikings, who finished in the Championship play-offs last season, shall prove a stern test for Carl Forster’s new look Crusaders side who harbour play-off ambitions of their own in Betfred League One in 2025.
The game is set to take place on Friday 10th January at 7:30pm at Widnes’ DCBL Stadium, Halton, with ticket information to be released in due course.
Looking ahead to the clash, Crusaders head coach Carl Forster commented: “We’ll be well into our pre-season schedule come January and so it’s important for us to test ourselves with a couple of competitive games before the season gets underway.
“Widnes will prove to be a tough test for the lads, but the game is all about getting minutes into the boys, getting our plays organised and dusting off the cobwebs ahead of the new season.”
