North Wales Crusaders are delighted to announce Welsh duo Lloyd Evans and Jamie Jenkins have agreed new contracts with the club, extending their stays until the end of the 2025 season.

The duo, who both gained international caps with Wales at student level, signed their first professional deals with Crusaders in 2024, with Evans scoring on his debut at Stadiwm CSM against Cornwall RLFC on the final day of the season.

The new deals mark a significant step in the club’s long-term vision of developing Welsh talent, with Crusaders head coach Carl Forster saying: “It’s great to keep Lloyd and Jamie at the club for another year.

“They are both at the same stage of their Crusaders careers, and I’m excited to see where they will go with a full pre-season and more minutes under their belt.

“They are keen to learn and train really well.

“It was a honour to give them both their debuts last season, especially with them being Welsh and our commitment to promote our own.

“I’m looking forward to seeing more of them both.”

On signing a new deal with the club, Jenkins added: “I’m happy to be signing for another year with the club, last season was all about learning my way in the first-team setup, and this season I’m looking to continue that and use the experience push on and show what I can do.

“I’m proud to be representing the club and pull on the Crusaders shirt whenever I get the opportunity to do so.”

Lloyd Evans commented: “I loved my first experience in League 1 last season.

“Hopefully now I can get more games and wins under my belt for the team, I’m delighted to have signed for another year, and I’m really looking forward to be getting stuck in.”
