North Wales Crusaders’ Matty Unsworth has signed a new contract with the club keeping him in North Wales for the 2025 season.
The former Salford Red Devils back rower arrived in North Wales in 2024 on the back of being crowned Reserve Coaches Player of the Year at the Red Devils in 2023.
Now looking forward to his second season in North Wales, Unsworth said: “It was a no brainer when I got asked to sign again for 2025, and I’m looking forward to building on my first year at the club.
“Pre-season has started very well, and everyone is buying into what Foz and the coaching staff want, so I can’t wait for the season to come round and see everyone down at Colwyn Bay.”
Crusaders head coach Carl Forster added: “It’s great to keep Matty on board.
“He’s a real grafter and with another year with us he can keep on improving.
“He runs a really good lead and is an intelligent player.”
