Job Title: Head of Athletic Performance, North Wales Crusaders
Under a new vision and new ownership structure, North Wales Crusaders are committed to creating a leading professional environment to match our on-field ambitions as a club.
This is why we are currently seeking to appoint a Head of Athletic Performance to work within our Rugby Department alongside our Head Coach as we embark on an exciting 2025 season in the RFL League 1, Betfred Challenge Cup and 1895 Cup. The job would also carry an additional role leading the Athletic Development Programme for our EggChaser National 7’s Academy players in the North. The Academy competes both domestic and internationally, and has recently enjoyed a trip to the Global Youth 7’s with fixtures versus the likes of Australia and USA.
At EggChaser, we have a track record of producing and operating world-class rugby teams and we hold similar ambitions for North Wales Crusaders.
Our personnel have provided pathways for both players and staff to honours such as Olympics, Commonwealth Games and World Cups.
Example roles & responsibilities include:
• Lead the matchday warm-up in collaboration with the Head Coach
• Ensure players are adequately prepared in the lead-up to matchday at our training sessions
• Lead the Strength & Conditioning components of field and gym-based training sessions
• Liaise with the Head Coach, and other department leads to ensure all players are performing at their best
• Manage relevant interns and assistants
• Lead the provision of S&C for our North West, Yorkshire and North East 7’s Academy programmes at trainings and tournaments
The preferred candidate will be required to attend a trial session, prior to being offered the role permanently.

Remuneration/Times: This role is being initialled offered on a part-time basis however for the right candidate a full-time opportunity can be explored.
Indicative time commitments would be Wednesday & Friday evenings at the NWC training base in Liverpool, alongside matchdays.
Each Academy group trains every 3-4 weeks at Lymm, Pontecraft and Darlington.
