North Wales Crusaders are delighted to confirm that second row Ryan Ellis has signed a new deal with the club, keeping him in Carl Forster’s squad for the 2025 season.

Ellis joined Crusaders in 2023, making his debut for the club in the 70-0 Betfred Challenge Cup victory over the Royal Navy before going on to score five times in 18 appearances during the campaign which saw Crusaders reach the League One play-off final.

Last season saw Ellis continue to push on, earning himself a contract extension for the 2025 season.

On signing a new deal, Ellis commented: “I’m really excited to start the 2025 season with Crusaders.

“I’ve really loved my time at the club to date, and I can’t wait to kick on for this season.

“I missed quite a few games last season through injury, so I’m looking forward to earning my place in the squad again and pushing for promotion this year, which I think with the squad we have, we are more than capable of.

“I’d like to thank the fans for all the support they’ve given me since I’ve joined the club, and I’m looking forward to them being loud and proud in the stands as they always are this coming season.”

Crusaders head coach Carl Forster added: “Ryan’s a real character in the group.

“He’s a big part of the changing rooms and it’s great to have him another year.

“Last year was a frustrating one for him with small injuries, but hopefully with a good off season and the break he can come back firing and getting more minutes under his belt.”
