North Wales Crusaders are delighted to announce the return of Jordy Gibson who arrives back in North Wales following a spell in the Championship with Swinton Lions.

The popular halfback made his debut in the professional game when he signed for Crusaders in 2020 going on to complete a three year spell at the club before his performances earned him a move to the second tier with Swinton Lions in 2023.

Easily adapting to the step up, Gibson made over 50 appearances for the Lions surpassing 70 points scored in the process.

Now returning to Crusaders, Gibson said: “After speaking with Foz (Carl Forster) and Simmo (Stuart Simmons) about the club’s plans and ambitions for the future, I really wanted to be a part of it.

“Having already played for the club in the past and knowing some of the players, staff and fans made my decision a lot easier.

“I can’t wait for the season to start and to see everyone again, there is some real talent within this group and I’m very excited to see what the future holds.”

Crusaders head coach Carl Forster added: ““Jordy is a great capture for the club.

“He’s shown in the last couple of years that he’s a Championship standard halfback and has thrived at that level.

“I’m confident he can bring that to us and lead the team.

“He’s a top lad who is familiar with the club and knows how we work.

“I’ve known Jordy for a long time and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”
