This Sunday shall see North Wales Crusaders welcome Hunslet RLFC to Colwyn Bay in Betfred League One, with Carl Forster’s side looking to bounce back from two defeats and maintain their position in the play-off places.

The afternoon gets underway at 12:15pm with North Wales Crusaders Women looking to maintain their unbeaten record when they face Ashton Bears in a curtain raiser, whilst 12:30pm sees the Mini Crusaders in action in the indoor barn.

For supporters attending, gates at Stadiwm CSM will open at 12pm, with Luke Gallagher performing live in the fanzone from 12:30 through until kick-off.

👥 Squad News

Following a recent injury crisis, Carl Forster will be hoping to see the return of some players to his 21-man-squad for this weekend. Kenny Baker will once again be available for selection following his return to the club away at Oldham, whilst Rob Massam is also expected to return to the side following the birth of his second child.

🗒️ Opposition

Hunslet are a side who have gone about their business relatively unnoticed this season, and whilst attention has been firmly fixed on the title race between Oldham and Keighley, sitting just below them in third place is a Hunslet side who will be hoping to further strengthen their grip on a play-off place with a win in North Wales this weekend.

The last meeting between the two sides saw Sunday’s visitors run out 22-14 victors at the South Leeds Stadium, a victory which begun a five match winning run before defeats at home to Rochdale and away to Oldham followed.

However, Hunslet returned to winning ways last weekend with a convincing 42-16 victory away to Newcastle Thunder.

🗣️ What The Coach Says

North Wales Crusaders head coach Carl Forster has issued a rallying cry for supporters new and old to come out in force and support his side this weekend.

Speaking to the media this week, Forster said: “This isn’t going to be an easy test either, they’re a quality side, sit above us in the table and are going about their business largely unnoticed this season.

“For us, we should have a few bodies back, hopefully a few on dual-registration and we can get back to winning ways and be right in that dog fight for the final play-off place.
