North Wales Crusaders are delighted to confirm the signing of Sam Wilde for the 2025 season, arriving in Colwyn Bay from Betfred Championship outfit, Widnes Vikings.

Wilde, a product of Shevington Sharks’ youth system, Wilde joined the Warrington Wolves academy system making his senior debut in 2015 before going on to play in the Grand Final for the Wolves.

Wilde’s career has seen him go on to represent Widnes Vikings for whom he made his debut in 2017, going on to have spells at London Broncos (loan) and Newcastle Thunder before making a return to the Vikings in 2023.

North Wales Crusaders head coach Carl Forster commented: “This is a huge signing for the club, to have someone of Sam’s calibre come and join us for 2025 shows the ambition of the club for next year.

“We’ve got a solid group of boys here, and adding a few quality players like Sam will really strengthen us, our recruitment is going really well for next year, and I’m sure our fans will already be getting excited about the prospect of next season.”

On signing for North Wales Crusaders, Sam Wilde said: “I’m really looking forward to next season and being apart of what the club is building.

“The club is showing a lot of ambition and putting things in place for the future as well as building a quality squad for next season.

“I’m hoping to play a big part in what will hopefully be a successful year on and off the field for North Wales Crusaders.”
