Many clubs will say that their fans are at the heart of their team, however, never has this been more the case than at North Wales Crusaders where back in 2011 our fans came together to form our initial squad in order for the club to gain acceptance to the third tier of professional rugby league.

In July 2011, the owners of Super League franchise Crusaders RLFC based at the Racecourse stadium in Wrexham announced that they would not be extending their licence to play in the top-flight, leaving rugby league in North Wales on the brink of existence.

As a consortium of supporters and local businesses personnel came together to save the club, they were informed by the RFL that in order for the new club (North Wales Crusaders) to enter their professional tiers, they must register a squad by the November deadline provided.

In a race against time, and without a single player on their books, the club’s supporters stepped up to the plate to form the original North Wales Crusaders 30-man-squad, ensuring the club could rejoin the RFL’s professional structure and then go on to recruit players ahead of their inaugural 2012 campaign.

The club has continued to see unwavering support from across the region throughout its existence, and supporters are now looking forward to an exciting 2025 campaign.

Season tickets for the 2025 season are on sale now priced at just £99 adults and FREE for under 16’s. You can secure your seat for the year to come by clicking HERE.
