North Wales Crusaders are delighted to confirm a new deal for Jack Houghton who has put pen to paper on a new deal keeping him at the club until the end of the 2027 season.
Having accumulated over 100 appearances during his first spell at the club, quickly establishing himself as a firm favourite amongst the Crusaders faithful, Houghton made the move across the border in 2024 where he joined Swinton Lions in the Championship.
Returning to what many see as his rightful ‘home’ at North Wales Crusaders for the 2025 season, Houghton has picked up where he left in 2023, playing a vital role across the season so far as Carl Forster’s side sit top of Betfred League One.
Signing a new two-year-deal, Houghton shall now remain with Crusaders until the end of the 2027 season.
Speaking about his new contract, he said: “I feel like I’m playing my best rugby at the moment, and it’s due to how happy I am when I play at Crusaders.
“I have a good affinity with the fans and feel at home here.
“We have shown this year how well we can perform, and I think there is still so much room to grow at this club.
“I can’t wait to be part of it for at least the next two years.”
North Wales Crusaders Head Coach Carl Forster added: “Jack is a player who really epitomises what Crusaders is all about.
“He loves the club, the fans and is a huge player for us both on and off the field.
“I’m delighted to see Jack become the latest player to commit to the club for a further two years.”
