North Wales Crusaders are delighted to welcome one of the region’s most popular attractions, Welsh Mountain Zoo as commercial partners for the 2025 season.

Set on one of the most picturesque and unique landscapes for any UK Zoo, Welsh Mountain Zoo occupies around 37 acres of lush green landscape with the site overlooking the Colwyn Bay coastline and the Carneddau mountains in North Wales.

With around 80 species housed in their wonderful collection, the Zoo have welcomed over eight million visitors through their gates to date.

The collaboration brings together two of North Wales’ most beloved institutions, uniting the energy of sport with the vital work of conservation.

North Wales Crusaders supporters can look forward to exciting opportunities to engage with the Zoo, from special events and visits to collaborative projects that promote both sport and conservation. Whether it’s inspiring young fans to learn more about the natural world or encouraging families to explore the great outdoors, this partnership is about making a real difference.

“The Welsh Mountain Zoo, as a proud charity dedicated to conservation and education, is thrilled to support the North Wales Crusaders, and strengthen our partnership with this fantastic local team. Just like in nature, success in rugby comes from teamwork, resilience, and strength—qualities seen both on the field and in the wild. As the National Zoo of Wales, inspiring people of all ages to connect with nature and protect our environment is at the heart of what we do. We’re excited to bring our communities closer through sport, conservation, and a shared passion for North Wales. We look forward to this exciting journey together!

– Michaella Brannan, Partnership & Fundraising Manager, Welsh Mountain Zoo.
