North Wales Crusaders head coach Carl Forster has announced his on-field leadership team for the 2025 season with Chris Barratt to remain as Captain.

Forster’s Crusaders side return to action this coming Saturday as they welcome London Broncos to Stadiwm CSM with the visitors fresh off the back of a season in Super League.

With a host of new additions to his squad for 2025 season, Forster has named a leadership group consisting of five players with Chris Barratt to remain in the Captain role which he held in 2024.

Jordy Gibson, who returns to the club following a spell in the Championship with Swinton Lions, will share the role of Vice Captain with Olly Davies who made his loan move from Halifax Panthers permanent for the 2025 season.

Two new signings Josh Eaves and Lloyd Roby shall also take up leadership roles within the first-team, completing the five.

On the decision, Forster commented: “First and foremost, I have to say that I’ve been really impressed with every single one of the lads since we’ve come in for pre-season.

“The effort is 100% across the board and we’re building a really strong environment to go into what is probably one of the most difficult League One seasons to date.

“As for the leadership group, the five lads selected are all very well respected within the group, and they’ll provide me and the coaching staff with any additional support which may be needed to ensure we have a successful season.”
