North Wales Crusaders’ Ben Evans has been selected to represent Wales having been included in John Kear’s 26-man-squad for the upcoming Autumn internationals.

Evans, who arrived in Colwyn Bay this season, has been rewarded for his string of impressive performances in Betfred League One earning a call up to the national side who are set to take on Jamaica, Serbia and either France or Ukraine next month.

Joining Evans in the Welsh squad is another familiar name to North Wales Crusaders supporters in that of Ben Lane.

Lane, a product of the St Helens youth system, spent serval spells in North Wales during the 2024 season on dual-registration from the Super League outfit.

On the international call ups, Crusaders head coach Carl Forster commented: “It’s fantastic to see Ben Evans be recognised for his strong performances this year and earn another international call up where I’m sure he’ll make an impact in the World Cup qualifiers.

“Ben Lane also be included is a credit to the hard work he’s put in this year both with Saints and ourselves, and we all wish both the lads the very best of luck next month.”
