Commenting on his new deal, Costello said: “I’m buzzing to get the chance to sign on again for next season, when the the opportunity came up it was an easy decision to make, the club’s going in the right direction and it’s something I can’t wait to be apart of.

“With these amazing fans onboard, I’m looking forward too seeing what we can achieve together.”

North Wales Crusaders head coach Carl Forster added: “I’m delighted to see Cozzy (Shaun Costello) extend his time at North Wales until the end of next year.

“We’re building early, with a mixture of both existing and new faces coming in for next year which shall see us develop on the strong squad which we currently have here.

“Shaun had to bide his time, but over the course of last season and this, he’s really established himself within the side and he’s a tough lad who we can rely on week in, week out.”
