North Wales Crusaders are delighted to announce the signing of Kenny Baker, who returns to the club having left for Championship outfit Widnes Vikings back in 2019.
Baker clocked up an impressive 78 appearances during his first stint in North Wales, earning him a move to the second tier where he joined Widnes Vikings going on to make over 50 appearances.
Since leaving the Vikings, Baker has enjoyed stints at Swinton Lions and Rochdale Hornets respectively, and will now be available for selection for Carl Forster ahead of this weekend’s trip to Oldham.
On returning to Crusaders, Baker said: “It’s a pleasure to be joining Crusaders, and I’m looking forward to representing this great club again.
“I know that it has been a tough job for all involved at the club over the last few years, and they deserve huge credit for keeping this club very competitive in League One.
“After talks with Andy Moulsdale and Jamie Elkaleh, I was excited for the future of this club and wanted to be apart of it.
“I’m looking forward to getting out there in front of our amazing fans once again, up the Cru’!”
On Baker’s arrival, North Wales Crusaders head coach Carl Forster said: “Kenny is a quality player, and one who will be well known amongst the Crusaders faithful.
“He’ll gel with the lads straight away, he’s got the right character to come in and add some quality to our side and I look forward to working with him.”
