North Wales Crusaders are pleased to confirm a renewed deal to play our home fixtures at Stadiwm Eirias for the 2026 season.
Having been crowned Betfred League One champions, Carl Forster’s side shall compete in the new look second tier of European rugby league in 2026, promising more home games, bigger crowds and more visiting supporters set to visit Colwyn Bay and the surrounding area.
The formation of the club’s women’s and reserve sides shall also see plenty of other activity take place at the venue as the club looks to continue its impressive growth both on and off the field.
A renewed deal for the 2026 season will ensure every North Wales Crusaders home game takes place at Stadiwm Eirias, and with the likes of Challenge Cup winner Dec Patton joining League One’s top scorer Luke Forber in making the switch to Crusaders, another entertaining season is in store for the club.
Crusaders made the move to Colwyn Bay back in 2022 seeing Stadiwm Eirias playing host to Wales’ only professional rugby league side ever since with the facility drawing wide praise from both home and away supporters as well as officials from the Rugby Football League.
North Wales Crusaders Chairman Bobby Watkins said: “As the club looks to the future and to continue building upon the successful foundations which we’ve set in 2025, I’m delighted to have held positive and productive conversations with Conwy Council regarding our tenancy at Stadiwm Eirias for the coming season.
“In addition to the entertaining rugby to be played on the field next season, supporters can expect to see improvements off the field in terms of branding, matchday experience and generally making the stadium look and feel more like a ‘home’ for our men’s, women’s and development teams.
“I’d like to thank all the stakeholders involved in these discussions over the past few weeks, and we look forward to continuing this positive working relationship into 2026.”
Mally Tidswell, Leisure Services Section Head, Conwy County Borough Council, said: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with North Wales Crusaders at Stadiwm Eirias for the 2026 season.
Their commitment to growing the sport across all levels—from the men’s, women’s and development teams—aligns perfectly with our own mission at Ffit Conwy to promote inclusive, accessible and high-quality leisure opportunities for all.
“Together, we’re not only supporting elite rugby league in Wales, but also creating a vibrant, welcoming environment that encourages community engagement, health and wellbeing across Conwy.”
