North Wales Crusaders are delighted to confirm the signing of Wales international, Gavin Bennion for the the 2026 season.
The welshman arrives in Colwyn Bay having appeared on the international stage competing in both World Cups and European Championships for the Red Dragons.
A playing career which has sat largely in the Championship mixed with Super League appearances for Salford Red Devils, Bennion spent the 2025 campaign in the second tier with Widnes Vikings.
On signing for Crusaders, he said: “I’m really happy and excited to have signed with North Wales for the 2026 season.
“After speaking with Foz [Carl Forster] and some of the lads, it sounds like a great environment and I can’t wait to get stuck in.
“My Grandad is from Wrexham and has only seen me play once before, so hopefully I can get him down to a few games next season as I know he would love to come and watch again.”
North Wales head coach Carl Forster added: “Gav is another strong addition to our squad for the 2026 season, a player who brings ample Championship experience with him and a brilliant figure on and off the field to have around the club.
“To add to that, he obviously has that Welsh connection and international honours with Wales, so it’s a signing which we can all get excited about and a player who will fit right in here at Crusaders.”
