North Wales Crusaders are delighted to welcome Armani Sharrock to our Women’s and Reserves coaching team, arriving from Salford Red Devils.

Sharrock, who enjoyed a 14-year playing career with notable spells at Wigan Warriors and as captain at Warrington Wolves, shall assist newly appointed Head Coach, Dave Hewitt, as the club looks to take our Women’s team into the RFL league structure in 2026 whilst continuing the development of our men’s reserve side.

On her arrival at North Wales Crusaders, Sharrock said: “When Dave told me about the opportunity it was too good to turn down, working with both the reserves and the women’s sides allows me a chance to get an insight into the men’s game alongside helping the development and growth of the women’s game.

“It’s been really exciting hearing the club’s ambitions for the women’s side and feels like the right place to invest my time.

“From the conversations I have had, the club wants to expand on all levels and sees space at the club to grow a reserves side that enables a pathway in the men’s set up and also sees the benefit in investing in the women’s team and providing the resources it deserves.

“Overall, I’m really excited to get into it , I’ve had a few sessions with the reserves now and all the lads have been great , everyone at the club is really welcoming and I can’t wait to get the women’s plans in place ready to get into preseason and kick on for the 2026 season.”

Women’s and Reserves Head Coach Dave Hewitt added: “One of my first tasks was to identify an assistant to come in and support me as head coach for both women’s and reserves.

“When I spoke to Armani to get some advice and support on taking the role, it was evident that this was something that got her excited for a new challenge and different environment.

“I have seen first-hand Armani’s work this year at Salford where we worked together as assistant coaches with the Women’s team, and Armani’s technical knowledge about the game is up there with any coach who I’ve played for or worked under, so it was a no brainer to offer the opportunity to Armani.

“I am really excited to continue working with Armani, and we both can’t wait to get started.”
