North Wales Crusaders are delighted to confirm a contract extension for Shaun Costello who will remain in Colwyn Bay for the 2026 season.
The former England Lions international arrived in North Wales back in 2022, establishing himself in Carl Forster’s side during the 2023 season in which they reached the League One play-off final.
Fresh off the back of playing his part in the 2025 title win, Costello has now put pen to paper of a contract extension which shall see him ply his trade in the new-look Betfred Championship division with Crusaders in 2026.
Speaking about his new deal, Costello said: “I’m excited to be resigning again for 2026 season, we’ve got a great bunch off lads and we’ve recruited some talented players so I’m looking forward to playing alongside them.”
Crusaders head coach CARL FORSTER added: “Cozzy is a crucial player for us, he keeps his head down works hard and you know that whenever you call upon him then he will take to the field and make an impact.
“I’m delighted to see him sign a contract extension and have the opportunity to work with him into next season.”
