North Wales Crusaders have gone about their pre-season business quietly, but things will step up this week ahead of the Wigan Warriors game, which will conclude the pre-season fixtures.
Dean Muir has been pleased with what he has saw in the two pre-season games against Swinton Lions and Barrow Raiders respectively.
Muir commented, “We have had good look at the squad and over the new year we have allowed players time with family and friends.
Everyone has sessions to complete away from the club and we are now back in preparing for a big year”.
Attention now turns to Saturday lunch time; as North Wales Crusaders welcome Wigan Warriors who have won seven Super League titles, five Challenge Cups, two World Club Challenges, and five League Leaders Shields, in the Super League era
North Wales Crusaders head coach Dean Muir added,
“We are looking forward to testing ourselves against Wigan and seeing how we progressed since Swinton.
We will try different combinations and look at given some more experience players more game time as we look to play a smaller squad of around 19 or 20 players”.
North Wales Crusaders are expecting a bumper crowd, which is heading to be the biggest crowd for a Crusaders game to be held at Stadiwm Eirias.
Muir added “We are looking forward to a big crowd, and we can’t wait to see all the Crusader fans as we start 2026 with a big one”.
